UKG Graduation Day – 2012

UKG Graduation Day – 2012

Graduation day of Upper Kindergarten (UKG) was held on March 30, 2012 at 8.45 am on the Open Air Grounds. Prof. Rolphie Mascarenhas, Director of Kanachur General Education, Mangalore was the Chief Guest and Sr. Carissima A.C., Joint Secretary of the School and Principal Sr. Melissa A.C shared the Dais.

The programme began with a procession of the tiny graduates escorted by the School Band. A short prayer service was held to thank almighty for his constant guidance and blessings throughout the year on our children, staff and school. Our children welcomed the gathering with a welcome dance.

Mr. Mascarenhas awarded the convocation certificates to our little 77 upper kindergarten graduates. Delivering the convocation address to the parents, he said, “Kids are gifts from God. We should not compare our child with others. It is against the commandment of God. God has a purpose for each child. Education is helping the child to provide an environment so that the children become what the capable of becoming.

“Purposes are different for each child. Each one of us should realize that our children come through us, we don’t give them life we only give them birth. God gives life to them. So, a child’s home and school both are the environments for the kids to grow”.

The tiny tots of lower KG entertained the gathering of parents and well-wishers with a short programme. They had an action song and a skit on ‘Unity is strength’.

Three children of upper kindergarten shared the experiences of their first learning journey of two years at Mount Carmel Kindergarten School and thanked the management, principal, teachers, parents and friends who were responsible for their growth

It was a happy day to all, especially to the UKG children and their parents.
