A Fond Adieu to Class X and XII 2017-2018

A Fond Adieu to Class X and XII 2017-2018

‘Years and moments pass like a flash light,
Yet memories linger a while and become part of life.’

It is another mile stone in the life of our class X and XII as they take a step forward in their academic life. On 3rd February, 2018 a farewell function was hosted by Class IX and XI for their outgoing seniors.

The day began with a thanksgiving Holy Mass offered by Rev Fr. Jacob SCJ for the students of class X and XII along with their teachers. Each one was offered in prayer to the Almighty for their future success. Class VIII conducted the liturgy with much devotion.

The formal programme began with a creative welcome followed by a short inter faith prayer service. In the ceremonious Jyothi Pradhan, the Diya was lighted by the Principal, Administrator, class teachers of X & XII and the Head Boy & Head Girl and the same was passed on to the other students while the choir sang the ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’. A dance depicting reminisces of their school life was a thrilling experience to all. The representatives of both, the juniors – Shreya and Deepa and seniors – Abigail Albuquerque, Raksha and Chris Cardoza shared the pleasant memories they spent with one another in the school. The Head Girl Aroline Miranda, Class XII and the Head Boy Craig DSouza, class X expressed their gratitude and handed over their class contribution of love to the School. The programme was compeered by Larrol Cutinho and Sanvi Mohan.

Sr. Carissima in her advice to the outgoing students said that ‘Time and Smile’ are the only things one can claim as their own. If used well, it can make them grow higher in maturity, deeper in faith and live beyond their comfort zone to make the world a better place. Sr. Melissa reminded them that there is no substitute for hard work and advised them to strive and climb the ladder of success and wished them well in their board exams. She asked them to be ambassadors of their Alma mater wherever they go as the mementos were given to them in memory of their life spent at Mount Carmel. The blessings of all the teachers showered on the outgoing students and the fellowship meal testified to the bond of true love shared between them and their teachers. The tears of love rolled down the eyes of both.
