Annual Day – 2010

Annual Day – 2010

The 3rd Annual Day of the School was held on December 22, 2010. The programme began sharp at 5 pm for which Mr. J. K. Rao, Lion’s district Governor was the Chief Guest. He along with the principal Sr. Melissa, Joint Secretary Sr. Henrita and a few members of the Managing Committee were welcomed at the School gate with a traditional Guard of Honour by the School Band and were led solemnly to their seating places in front of the stage by a few Flag Bearers in a procession.

The programme began with a short prayer song and a welcome dance followed by the entertainment programme by the lower classes. Our L.K.G and U.K.G kids took us all to a trip to the ‘Zoo’ and also to an ‘Underwater World’ which was mesmerizing. We also visited the World of Aliens along with class 1. God has created this beautiful universe with planets, stars and life beyond the earth and it was a joy to our eyes to see the students of class 2 enacting a play on ‘Planets’.

Christmas is the season which comes sweetly, softly and silently wrapping its loveliness about the world to spread the message of Love, Peace, Joy and Happiness. So the students of class III and IV showcased a Christmas Tableau performance, helping us to imbibe the Christmas spirit.

The Chief Guest along with the Principal and Joint Secretary were taken to the dais and prize distribution was held. Then the Chief Guest Mr. J.K. Rao addressed the gathering. He spoke well of the institution and the programme. The stars of the school were felicitated by Mr. Rao for their outstanding performance. Special prizes were also given to our teachers, parents and special coaches for their dedicated service.

The next segment of the School Day was continued with the variety entertainment programme by the higher class students. The programme began with a Mime Show. Students also put up an English drama ‘An Apology to Ecology’ – highlighting the challenges faced by our planets because of us.

As part of British Council Global School Partnership programme a cultural ballet depicting the ‘Glory of South India’ famous for its amazing beaches, Flora and Fauna, adventure sports, heritage monuments and its unique rich traditions, cultures and dances was showcased. Being the season of Christmas, the programme concluded with a Christmas song.
