13 Nov Celebration of Children’s day and Deepavali
We celebrated today Children’s Day and Deepavali virtually. The celebration commenced invoking God’s blessings. Principal, Sr Melissa welcomed the children coupled with a classical welcome dance by the teachers.
The programme was suffused with fun, frolic, talent and entertainment. The beauty of this programme was to witness the love every teacher has for their students. Keeping aside all inhibitions, they took over the stage; a few praying, a few rocking, a few singing and a few enacting, yet all of them chanting the same message “Happy Children’s Day.”
The festival of lights, Deepavali was celebrated in all its glory through songs, messages and dances.
The administrator, Sr Carissima, in her message urged students to dream for a better tomorrow, not only for themselves but for their families and society at large. She also applauded the teachers who went down the memory lane of their student life in their performances.
The programme culminated with the feeling of emptiness without the children’s presence. Yet there was a ray of hope that this pandemic will pass and the doors of the school will soon open wide for them. Teacher Richa and Teacher Sarita compered the event.
The programme was telecasted live on YouTube for the children, and the children enjoyed viewing it from their homes. Click on the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLyhuFjTRDY&t=3709s
