12 Jan Celebration of National Youth Day
The National Youth Day with the theme “It’s all in the mind”, commemorating the birth of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated in the school auditorium on 12th January, 2022.
The programme commenced invoking God’s blessings through a prayer service followed by a gracious welcome dance. The students of class V enthusiastically presented the significance of the day sketching the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The dance added spice and colour to the celebration.
The chief guest, Ms Ananya Sneha, Lecturer in English, addressed the students, the budding youth of the Nation quoting Swami Vivekananda, “Each one of you has a glorious future if you dare believe me. Have a tremendous faith in yourselves, like the faith I had when I was young… Have that faith, each one of you, in yourself – that eternal power is lodged in every soul – and you will revive the whole of India.” She also highlighted the freshness, spirit and vigour of a youth required in shaping our country.
The Vice Principal Sr Lidwyn, in her message cited the ten teachings of Swami Vivekananda, inscribing it on the minds of the students. The program was compeered by Naman and Aloma while Alwyn proposed the vote of thanks.
