Discover, Explore, Learn: Engaging Field Trips for our Students of LKG to Grade XII

“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks,” said John Muir, emphasizing the profound impact of outdoor experiences on learning and growth. In line with our commitment to holistic education, our school organized a series of enriching field trips for our students from LKG to Grade XII. These trips provided hands-on learning opportunities, fostered curiosity, and encouraged exploration, all while making education enjoyable.

The Grade 12 students embarked on an exciting train journey from Mangalore Railway Station to Kannur, culminating in a visit to Vismaya Water Theme Park. They enjoyed thrilling rides and later explored the Snake Park and Zoo, where they observed a variety of snakes and birds, gaining valuable insights into wildlife.

Grade 11 students had a memorable visit to Alva’s Farmacy, where they witnessed the intricate process of preparing Ayurvedic medicines from medicinal herbs. Their exploration continued at Shobhavana Forest, where they learned about diverse medicinal plants. The day ended with fun-filled moments at Manasa Water Park, where they enjoyed the wave pool, rain zone, and multiple water rides.

For Grade 10 students, a trip to UVA Meridian Amusement Park, Kundapura, was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and adventure. They participated in thrilling activities like zip-lining and rope climbing, testing their endurance and boosting their confidence. En route, they visited the Mahalakshmi Temple, Uchila, and Velankanni Church, Kalmadi, fostering a spiritual connection.

Grades 8 and 9 had a dual-purpose excursion—a visit to Pilikula Science Park to enhance their scientific curiosity, followed by a fun-filled day at Manasa Water Park, which provided a refreshing break from academics.

The LKG students spent a delightful day at Infant Jesus Farm, Kavoor, while the UKG students visited Pilikula Regional Science Centre and Park, where they explored interactive exhibits and nature trails.

Grades 1 and 2 had an exciting time at Pilikula Science Park and Museum, where they engaged with hands-on exhibits and witnessed a fascinating pressure rocket experiment. The visit also introduced them to local flora and fauna, strengthening their connection with nature.

Grades 3 and 4 embarked on an informative journey to the police station, fire station, and tree park. At the police station, they learned about road safety and the importance of wearing helmets. At the fire station, they watched live fire drills and firefighting techniques. Their visit to the Tree Park, Panambur, was a refreshing experience, allowing them to appreciate the beauty of nature.

Grade 5 students explored Shobhavana in Moodbidri, where they discovered various medicinal plants and learned about traditional Indian medicine. This was followed by a visit to Kadalakere, a serene location that combined education with recreation, offering breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings.

Grades 6 and 7 visited the Thousand Pillars Jain Temple, Moodbidri, marveling at its architectural brilliance and historical significance. Their trip continued at John’s Park, Karkala, where they participated in adventure games and water activities, blending heritage exploration with leisure.

Throughout these trips, students enjoyed delicious snacks and refreshing ice creams, making the experiences even more delightful. They returned to school with happy memories, enriched knowledge, and a renewed sense of curiosity. These field trips were truly engaging, reinforcing school’s dedication to experiential learning, community service and holistic development.
