Farewell to the 1st Outgoing Batch of Class X

A befitting farewell to the 21 students, the first outgoing batch of our school was given on February 18, 2012. The programme began at 9 am with a moving prayer service conducted by Class IX students. During Jyothipradhan, the Diya was lit by the Joint Secretary, Principal and the teachers of Class X and then the students of Class X in turn lighted their lamps from the main Diya and placed them on the beautiful flower rangoli symbolising that they will carry the light of learning they received at Mount Carmel wherever they go.

The outgoing students took the pledge led by the Principal promising their loyalty and service to their alma mater. A short skit conveying the message for the seniors – “Patience is the key to success” was enacted. Vinyamol of Class IX gave their impressions of the seniors and wished them well. Farewell song was sung by a group of students.

The seniors represented by Stephania Pinto and Spencer Machado gave their response saying that they would always cherish their moments spent in the school and that they were really grateful to MCCS, Principal, staff and the students for showering on them a lot of love and blessings. The outgoing students handed over a beautiful Diya to the Principal as a token of love and gratitude to the alma mater.
