28 Mar Kindergarten Graduation Day 2014
Mount Carmel Central School conducted Kindergarten Convocation Day on March 28, 2014 at 8.45 am on the school grounds. The smart and tiny tots of UKG dressed in graduation robes and caps marched in a row, along with the Chief Guest Dr Leo Francis Tauro, Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, Fr Muller’s Medical Hospital, his wife Mrs. LavinaTauro, Sr Ida Barboza AC– Joint Secretary of MCCS and Sr. Melissa, Principal accompanied by the School Band.
The programme began with invocation by the UKG children followed by a welcome dance by LKG children. Master Shreyan Prasad of LKG-A welcomed the gathering. Sr Ivy Moras AC took over the charge to do the presentation of the little graduates, which was followed by the Conferring of the graduation title by Sr. Melissa AC, the principal of MCCS.
Dr Leo Francis Tauro in his convocation address complimented the graduates on their achievements, also congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities. Being a father of two boys who are the students of MCCS, Dr Tauro gave a few tips to the the parents and teachers in training and bringing up the children. He said we need to teach the children the basic manners and teach them how to respect their elders, teachers and parents and that we need to train and bring up the children in all aspects – socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
This was followed by the distribution of graduate diplomas to the tiny tots along with a photo-shot with their daddy’s and mummy’s. The formal programme concluded with music, dance and skit performed by LKG students, which was appreciated by all gathered. The KG teachers sang a farewell song to the tiny tots of UKG, wishing them well in their further studies. At the end, 4 students of UKG – Steve, Nikitha, Rachael and Anvilla expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the management, principal and teachers in the form of vote of thanks. Ms. Ashwith Jennifer compeered the entire programme.
It was indeed a joyous and memorable day to the little ones as they received their KG Graduation Day Diploma’s from the guests. May God bless these tiny “graduates” as they continue their education in the main stream of the school.
