09 Sep Love Offering shared generously with the Poor and the Needy
“Give and it shall be given unto you in good measure”. When the call for “Love Offering” was heard, the students, staff and parents of Mount Carmel Central School opened their hearts and hands to give graciously as a love offering to the poor and the needy. The essentials like rice – 616 Kg, coconuts – 745, wheat flour – 19 Kg, sugar – 16 Kg, cereals and pulses, oil etc poured in. The bakery items were unaccountable. Toiletries like bath soaps – 1311, washing soaps – 579, toothpastes – 363, tooth brushes – 397, talcum powder etc was part of the love offering. Apart from commodities, cash of Rs 180,621/- was also offered.
The shelter homes like Infant Mary’s Home for the aged, St Antony’s Ashram, Mother Theresa’s Home, White Doves Home for the Destitutes, Little Sisters Home for the aged, St Agnes Special School, Sanidhya Residential School for Special children, Infant Jesus Children’s Home, Veronica Vihar for the disabled adults, Sneha Sadan and Jeevadhan HIV and AIDS Rehabilitation Centres etc were the beneficiaries of this love offering. This noble deed was a day to thank God for the blessings the giver received through the MCCS Family.
