Our Little Learners Celebrate “Fruits Day” with Fun and Flavour

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Fruits are an essential part of a child’s diet, providing vital nutrients that support growth, development and a healthy immune system.

To educate children about the importance of including fruits in their daily diet, the little learners of our Pre-Nursery and Nursery celebrated ‘Fruits Day’ on February 14, 2025 with fun and flavour.

The day commenced with a prayer and a prayer song. The children brought a variety of fruits, which were displayed in the hall for everyone to see. Sensorial activities allowed the children to see, touch and smell the different fruits. Teachers introduced fruit-related rhymes. Some students dressed as apples, strawberries etc, offering brief descriptions of the same. Sr Asha Prima emphasized the importance of incorporating fruits into one’s diet. The event concluded with teachers preparing the fruit salad, which every child enjoyed and relished. The day ended with the positive message that fruits are better than junk food.
