21 Feb Our Primary Students Pay Tribute to Linguistic Diversity on International Mother Language Day
The primary students of our school paid fitting tribute to International Mother Language Day on February 21, 2025 with enthusiasm and reverence. The event was hosted by the students of Grades I A, D, E and II E, showcasing their deep appreciation for linguistic diversity.
The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, followed by a warm welcome extended by Senora, Dhyan, Prathishtha, and Thvisha, accompanied by a captivating welcome dance. Adam, Aaron and Samhitha elaborated on the significance of the day. A thought-provoking skit stood out as the highlight of the event, beautifully illustrating the uniqueness of each language while emphasizing the unity found in diversity.
The Chief Guest, Ma’am Hannah Thangathai, former teacher of MCCS, commended the students for their talents and stressed the need to respect and celebrate all languages. In her message, Administrator Sr Carissima encouraged students to love and cherish their mother language while also valuing the languages of their friends.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Lenora, Shrihan, Kunal, and Akshaj. The programme was skilfully compered by Sheethal, Noah, Yashika, Smayan and Arunya. The celebration truly reinforced the spirit of linguistic harmony and cultural pride, leaving everyone with a profound appreciation for their mother tongue and the beauty of languages worldwide.
