04 Aug Our tiny tots pay a fitting tribute to their Grandparents
The tiny tots of our School paid a fitting tribute to their grandparents by celebrating the Grandparents Day on August 4th 2023 in the school auditorium. The programme was hosted by the tiny tots of Nursery and Kindergarten. The chief guest of the day was Mrs Shaila Balakrishna, Ex-Teacher of the School. Sr Asha Prima, the joint secretary of the school was present for the programme.
The celebration commenced invoking God to pour out His blessings in abundance on the grandparents. The principal Sr Melissa radiantly welcomed the gathering and in her message appreciated the love grandparents lavish on their grandchildren and said that though they hold our hands for some time, they are in our hearts forever. The grandchildren swayed and danced to the tune of the welcome song.
The cultural programme was an assemblage of songs and dances in different languages which was not only delightful but also left the grandparents teary eyed. The chief guest Mrs. Shaila Balakrishna reminisced a few of her personal memories and also cited “Today, if grandparents are their grandchildren’s identification, it would be a proud moment to be identified by their grandchildren a few years from now”.
The little MC’s of the celebration confidently took over the ceremony. Teacher Neetha Pais conducted a few games full of fun, frolic and competition. The winners were felicitated by the administrator Sr Carissima and the chief guest Mrs. Shaila Balakrishna. The Students of LKG accorded a heartfelt gratitude through a dance.
Refreshments were served at the end of the programme. The ambience was filled with an aura of gladness, gratification and gratitude.
