The primary students of Mount Carmel Central School ushered in the 71st year of Independence celebration, commencing with prayer and a prayer dance, thus invoking God to bless every citizen with peace and justice. The students welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Siddharth Shetty, Professor, Dept of Orthopedics, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Derlakatte and parents with warm words and graceful dance. The Principal Sr. Melissa merrily wished everybody on the occasion of the celebration of Independence day along with Assumption of our Lady and Sri Krishna Janmasthami. The atmosphere was filled with serenity, reverence and gratitude as befitting tribute was paid with the famous song “Hey mere vatan ke logo” by the students to the leaders and soldiers who bought us freedom at the cost of their lives.
