05 Jan Provincial Superior’s visit to the school
Sr. Linette A.C., the Provincial Superior of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province, who was on visitation programme of Vijaymari Convent, visited our school too on January 5, 2015 at 2.00 pm, along with Sr. Ida Barboza A.C., the Joint Secretary of the school.
The students welcomed her with Poorna Kumbha Swagatham, followed by a short prayer service and a welcome dance. Principal Sr. Melissa A.C. welcomed her and introduced her to all gathered. The students also enacted a short skit on ‘Honesty’, bringing out the importance of sincerity and honesty.
Sr. Linette in her address, appreciated and complimented the efforts of the principal, staff and students for what Mount Carmel is today and for maintaining good standards not only in academics, but also in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Through a short story, she made the students to understand the need to live a life that is good, upright and of service to others, specially the poor and the needy. She urged the students to keep to the school motto “Higher and Nobler” and always to strive for excellence in all we do.
After meeting the students, a staff get-together was arranged where she thanked the staff for collaborating wholeheartedly with the management in imparting good, value based education to the students and motivated them to be more committed and dedicated in their duties and responsibilities.
