24 May The Journey and Experience of ISA 2010-13
The journey of ISA Project started with a spark of light lit by Mrs. Samyuktha Balakrishnan at Cochin during the seminar when she said ‘we can’ work on this project collectively with the help of teachers, students and their parents. This spark re-kindled in the hearts of all when we introduced this ISA project with an activity for each class. The teachers along with the Principal Sr. Carmel Rita A.C and Co-ordinator Sr. Silvian A.C. tapped the talents in our pupils and they responded whole heartedly.
In spite of all the difficulties we enjoyed putting together our mental, spiritual and physical energies. A peep into the world at large through internet made us enthusiastic, eager and curious to know and learn more. Our class activities, assembly programme, field trips, exhibition, meeting of guest speakers from abroad, preparation of charts and models, skits and songs gave us the unforgettable experience which will be cherished by one and all. This has given our students global trends in education. They were able to compare and contrast the different cultures, food habits, environment, language, seasons, crops and dresses that prevailed in different countries of the world through the interaction of foreign visitors and through internet chatting. The teachers have inculcated a thirst for knowledge. Thanks to the British Council for this opportunity.
The Projects/Activities our students undertook are:
