22 Feb “World Thinking Day – 2017”
The Scouts and Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls of our school came together to celebrate the World Thinking Day on February 22nd 2017. World Thinking day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scout Movement, and Lady Olave Baden-Powell, who was World Chief Guide and also to appreciate the help and guidance of brother scouts and sister guides around the world and address all their concerns and understand the true meaning of scouting and Guiding. The theme for the world thinking day 2017 is “GROW”
The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through an All Faith Prayer and a Prayer Dance. The significance of the day was given through PowerPoint presentation by Bulbul Gabriel. The spirit of patriotism among the students was instilled through a patriotic song followed by a patriotic dance. The Cubs and Bulbuls enlightened the importance of Co curricular and extracurricular activities through a dance. The Scouts and Guides highlighted the sacrifice of the Soldiers through a dance.
The administrator of our school Sr. Carrissima addressed the gathering with her inspiring words and enlightened the students about World thinking day and the theme of the year “Grow”.
Bulbul Andrea welcomed the gathering, while Bulbul Anupama proposed the vote of thanks. Scout Adithya and Guide Tasha compeered the programme.
