22 Feb World Thinking Day 2020
“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
The Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls and Bunnies of our school celebrated the World Thinking Day 2020 on 22nd February 2020 in the school auditorium. The programme began with an All Faith Prayer.
Cubs Aashish and Ian warmly welcomed the chief guest Ms. Saritha, Teacher in Hindi.
Students highlighted the significance of the day, which was followed by a Kannada Patriotic Action Song by Cubs and Bulbuls.
A street play on peace and unity was enacted, to bring home various global concerns and to thus change the world for the better.
The Chief Guest, in her message to the students, also stressed the importance of developing appreciation for different cultures and increasing awareness and sensitivity towards issues of Global concern.
International Mother Tongue day, which is celebrated on 21st of February, was also a part of the programme. The Preamble of the Indian Constitution was recited in Kannada and Hindi, along with a PPT displaying the preamble in English. This was followed by a lively multi-lingual song.
The programme was compeered by Scout Alvern, Guide Arka, Cub Ashlon and Bulbul Avanthi. The prize winners of various competitions were felicitated by the chief guest Ms. Saritha and Vice Principal Sr. Lidwyn.
The Bunnies conducted a programme as well, which commenced with an All Faith Prayer, followed by an Action song and a short programme in their Bunnies meeting group.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
